I found heaven-on-earth yesterday~
My dad took me to the new Asian market that’s by his work yesterday!!! The same one where he bought me mochi ice cream~
Oh my gosh, I was expecting some small, family-run business that had a small selection of Asian products that were sort-of stale, but noooooooooooo, I found myself in the middle of a cornucopia of almost every type of Asian ingredient possible.
To demonstrate, here is a real photo of me yesterday:

It was like the hallelujah chorus was singing to me from the heavens above. It was beautiful.
AND CHEAP MY GOSH. LOOK AT ALL THE STUFF I BOUGHT!!!

Please excuse the crappy camera quality, BUT LOOK AT ALL OF THIS STUFF!! AND IT ONLY COST $30!! That may seem like a lot, but it can cost a lot more to get good Asian ingredients.
Here’s a list of what’s in the picture:
- Tapioca pearls
- Black sesame mochi
- Agar agar
- 2 boxes of mochiko
- Hi-Chew gum (green apple)
- A can of sliced water chestnuts
- Sesame oil
- Pickled ginger
- A can of milk tea
- A can of tamarind drink
- A bottle of Ramune
- Somen noodles
- Tofu
- Hondashi
Oh? Am I missing something. Oh yes, I wouldn’t want to forget anything! Here it is!

HOLY SHIT. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS???? IT’S A FIRE-TRUCKING DRAGON FRUIT, BITCHES.
I could not believe that had these!! They also had durian, but I wasn’t interest in buying any stink-fruit.
They have a lot of ingredients that I can’t get at other stores, so it’s great to know there’s a place I can go when I need duck or quail eggs. And the best part was that everything was super-cheap compared to other stores! I’m definitely going to go back some time soon!
